This firm is actively seeking a qualified Trademarks Associate with a strong drive and capability to join their esteemed Intellectual Property department. This role is ideally suited for a qualified Trademark Attorney seeking to become part of a truly international law firm.
The primary focus of this role centres around providing legal support to senior fee earners, including Trademark Attorneys and Solicitors, within the bustling Trademarks Unit based in London. The selected candidate will enjoy an exceptional opportunity to gain firsthand exposure and engage directly with significant clients daily. The role entails working with swiftly evolving portfolios, demanding a profound understanding of UK, EU, and IR trademark and registered design practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing day-to-day operations of trademark portfolios.
- Conducting and reporting trademark availability searches, both online and through search agents.
- Offering comprehensive advice to clients regarding their trademark portfolios.
- Handling the filing, prosecution, and renewal of trademarks.
- Participating in hearings related to trademark matters.
- Initiating opposition, invalidity, and revocation proceedings as necessary.
- Managing the prosecution of opposition, infringement, and revocation proceedings.
- Ensuring accurate recording of mergers and acquisitions within trademark portfolios.
- Providing guidance to clients on various other intellectual property (IP) matters, such as designs, copyright, and domain names.
