Essential for this role is experience and confidence in managing a full, varied, and complex caseload of Medical Negligence work. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service and thrive in a collaborative environment, working with colleagues to achieve both team and firm goals while motivating and inspiring others to do the same.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Representing Claimants in complex medical negligence cases and Inquests, including highly sensitive and emotionally charged matters.
  • Advising clients on funding options, identifying and liaising with relevant experts and Counsel, providing guidance on merits and quantum, and advising on procedures and alternative dispute resolution processes. Advocacy at interlocutory stages, where cost-effective, may also be involved.
  • Handling high-profile cases that may have a significant economic, political, or social impact or risk for the firm.
  • Identifying and addressing clients’ needs, such as access to rehabilitation, financial advice, Wills, Powers of Attorney, pre/post Nuptial agreements, etc., and facilitating appropriate services.
  • Providing expert advice on complex Medical Negligence matters to other team members, requiring sign-off or specialist knowledge.
