Key information:

The ideal candidate for the Commercial Property Lawyer position will be responsible for handling various aspects of commercial property transactions, including:

  • Drafting licenses for assignments, underleases, and alterations.
  • Handling purchases of commercial properties, whether vacant or subject to leases and tenancies.
  • Conducting title reviews, searches, and lease assessments.
  • Managing the sale of commercial properties and land.
  • Representing both lenders and borrowers in refinancing transactions.
  • Acting on behalf of landlords and tenants in new lease negotiations.
  • Drafting and negotiating lease renewal agreements.
  • Handling the sale of auction properties, including the creation of special sale conditions and addressing freehold property considerations such as the right of first refusal and serving necessary notices to qualifying tenants.
  • Drafting Option and Overage Agreements.
  • Managing s106 Agreements.
  • Representing a diverse range of clients, including companies (including offshore companies) and individuals, whether they are tenants or landlords.

To be considered for the Commercial Property Lawyer role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • A degree qualification along with either a PGDL or LPC.
  • Demonstrable experience in the field of commercial property.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to establish strong client relationships and perform effectively under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
  • The capability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships with clients, referrers, and colleagues.
