Restructuring & Insolvency Managing Associate Vacancy, London

JOB TITLE: Restructuring & Insolvency Managing Associate
Location: London
Salary: Exceptional
Ref: CLC2397
Key information:

With well-established Restructuring teams across the UK, this firm is looking for a managing associate to come onboard and help manage a team.

Their client base is diverse, generating work from external financial institutional clients and advisers, as well as from their national and international practice groups and their corporate clients. This diversity propels their need for high calibre restructuring lawyers capable of bringing creativity and innovation to challenging situations faced by clients, especially in commercial banking, Leverage Finance, Capital Markets, or specific sectors undergoing financial challenges or change.

Successful candidates are invited to join their ambitious yet friendly team to contribute to the productivity and profitability of their firm amid its ongoing international growth. While the work may be demanding, it is rewarding for those who can demonstrate a commitment to the business expansion.

What to Expect in This Role:

  • Involvement in reviewing finance documentation and analysing potential restructuring scenarios to safeguard or enhance our clients’ positions.
  • Collaboration with other members of the firm across different departments and offices in the UK and internationally to devise, draft, and complete restructuring and insolvency transactions efficiently.
  • A crucial ability to handle all aspects of banking and finance documentation, familiarity with amending and enforcing various financing and security structures, and an understanding of bond and other capital market instruments would be particularly beneficial.
  • Engagement in primarily non-contentious insolvency mandates.
  • Leadership on transactional insolvency mandates, including advising on CVA’s, pre-packs, and issues arising in connection with trading administrations.
  • Advisory role for directors concerning their obligations in the context of an under-performing business.
  • Close collaboration with our leveraged finance team to ensure early engagement and maximize the prospect of a successful restructure.
  • Involvement in various business development activities.
