This highly rated and respected London legal firm is looking to add to their disputes team with a commercial litigation lawyer. Most levels considered; however experience is necessary.
The Opportunity:
- Deliver excellent client service and manage and deliver legal work, ranging from discrete pieces of advice to substantial cases.
- Build a solid foundation of commercial and legal expertise, strengthening relationships with clients and frequently acting as a direct point of contact.
- Take on responsibility for managing and delegating work to and supporting junior colleagues.
- Make a significant contribution to the firm’s work by aiming to meet and exceed target hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on a variety of commercial disputes, often with a cross-border nature.
- Manage work to support partners and senior lawyers, acting as lead lawyer when appropriate; delegate and provide feedback to junior lawyers; communicate progress on tasks; consult and offer solutions on difficult technical and client issues; and manage administrative processes through support staff as needed.
- Manage, develop, and strengthen client relationships by anticipating client needs, providing prompt responses and progress updates.
- Support the firm and others by establishing effective relationships across the global network; upholding the firm’s values; contributing to initiatives (e.g., corporate social responsibility and diversity and inclusion activities); mentoring and supporting juniors; raising profile through involvement with external bodies and attending marketing/industry events; and assisting with internal training and preparation of legal precedents.
- Comply with risk requirements, firm policies, and all relevant professional responsibilities and legislation; contribute to billing, engagement, and client acceptance processes.
