Key information:
As a Trademark Attorney, you will hold a unique position within the firm, working alongside their Commercial team and receiving guidance and support from a leading expert in IP law. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of their extensive trademark services, encompassing both contentious and non-contentious work. As the primary contact for trademark matters, you will collaborate closely with various teams within the firm to address referred trademark issues.
Your general duties will include:
- Handling trade mark applications, oppositions, cancellations, renewals, and other maintenance-related matters.
- Reviewing and providing advice on client trade mark portfolios.
- Conducting trade mark availability searches and offering related guidance.
- Assisting with trade mark due diligence exercises in transactions.
- Advising on and managing domain name and company name complaints.
- Providing guidance to clients regarding trade mark registration.
- Engaging in business development activities to cultivate relationships with both new and existing clients.
