This specialized department handles intricate and high-value claims, including cases involving foreign property and cross-border or cross-jurisdictional matters. Additional Information:

This role combines office-based work at our Cambridge office with remote work (hybrid role).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the lead partner to develop strategies and annual business plans for the office and surrounding areas.
  • Engage with the senior management team, and other senior associates, and attend management meetings as needed. Provide progress updates on objectives, share information, and contribute to driving changes within the firm.
  • Take responsibility for managing a diverse caseload of client matters independently, offering high-quality legal advice and proactively nurturing client relationships.
  • Establish and achieve personal and team objectives, monitor performance and progress, and provide professional guidance to team members as required.
  • Lead, manage, and motivate staff, ensuring alignment with team goals.
  • Meet the firm’s fee targets and support junior team members in doing the same through mentoring and development.
  • Oversee efficient credit management processes, manage time effectively, and ensure robust cash flow and credit-management systems.
  • Ensure the delivery of legal services within the area of responsibility, emphasizing cost-efficiency for both the client and the firm.
  • Supervise and evaluate the quantity, quality of work, and outcomes achieved by the team to maximize overall performance.
  • Analyse key performance indicators, leverage technology, and implement new systems and processes to enhance the team’s effectiveness.
  • Provide advice to partners and board members on opportunities to enhance the client experience and improve team profitability.
